ESP: Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz (Birán, Mayarí, actual Provincia de Holguín, Cuba; 13 de agosto de 1926) es un político cubano. Fue mandatario de su país, bajo los cargos de Primer Ministro (1959-1976) y Presidente de Cuba (1976-2008). Actualmente ejerce como Primer Secretario del Partido Comunista de Cuba y como Comandante en Jefe de las Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias (Ejército) de Cuba.
