Si Jose Pimintel Ejercito, na mas kilala sa pangalang Jinggoy Estrada, ay isang artista at senador sa Pilipinas. Siya ang panganay na anak ni Pangulong Joseph Estrada kay Loi Ejercito.
Jose Pimentel Ejercito (ipinanganak noong Pebrero 17, 1963), na mas kilala bilang Jinggoy Estrada, ay isang dating artista, at kasalukuyang senador sa Pilipinas. Anak siya nina dating Pangulong Joseph Estrada at dating senador Luisa Estrada.
Ipinanganak siya bilang Jose P. Ejercito sa Maynila. Nagtapos siya nang kanyang elementarya at sekondarya sa Pamantasang Ateneo de Manila, at nagkamit ng degree sa ekonomiya mula sa Unibersidad ng Pilipinas. Siya ang Punong-bayan ng San Juan mula 1992 hanggang 2001. Nahalal siya sa senado noong 2004 at magtatapos ang termino sa 2010. Napangasawa niya si Presentacion "Precy" Vitug-Ejercito noong 1989.
Hulyo 23, 2007, nang mahalal si Jinggoy Pro-Tempore ng Pangulo ng Senado ng Pilipinas. Agosto 15, 2007, napagdesisyunan ng Kataas-taasang Hukuman sa pamamagitan ng botong 13-0 na payagang magpiyanasa si Jinggoy sa kanyang kasong Plunder.
Noong Setyembre 11, 2007, inihain niya ang Senate bill 1556, na naglalayon na gawing mandatory para sa lahat ng lalaki at babae sa kolehiyo na dumaan sa ROTC.
José Pimentel Ejército (born February 17, 1963), better known as Jinggoy Ejercito Estrada, is a Filipino politician and former film actor who has been a member of the Senate of the Philippines since 2004. He was born to Joseph Estrada, who was President of the Philippines from 1998 to 2001, and former senator Luisa Estrada; he is also the half-brother of politician Joseph Victor Ejercito.
In 1992, at age 29, he was elected as Mayor of San Juan, becoming the youngest elected mayor in the Philippines at that time. During his final tenure as Mayor, he was sworn into office as the National President of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) from 1998 to 2001.
In 2004, he was elected as senator.
During his first term, he introduced at least 617 bills and resolutions and steered the passage of at least 16 bills either as principal sponsor or principal author.
On July 23, 2007, Estrada was elected as Senate president pro tempore. On August 15, 2007, the Supreme Court voted 13-0 to uphold the Sandigabayan's decision to grant his bail in connection with his plunder case before the graft court. On September 11, 2007 Estrada introduced Senate bill 1556, proposing to make ROTC mandatory for all college students.
In 2010, he was reelected as senator, finishing in the 2nd place. During the opening of the 15th Congress on July 26, 2010, he was reelected as Senate president pro tempore.
In 1989, Estrada married Ma. Presentacion "Precy" Vitug with whom he has four children, namely, Janella Marie, Joseph Luis Manuel, Julian Emilio and Julienne.
