Francisco Javier Tadeo Domínguez Brito (nacido el 28 de octubre de 1965 en Santiago) es abogado y político dominicano. Actualmente es el Procurador General de la República Dominicana.
Ha sido Ministro de Trabajo (2011), Senador (2006), Procurador General (2004) y Procurador fiscal del Distrito Nacional (1997). En el Congreso se destacó por ser el senador con más leyes aprobadas en el cuatrienio 2006-2010; recibió reconocimiento por hacer significativos aportes a la Constitución de la República proclamada en el año 2010 y recibió amplia aceptación por gestionar una vasta agenda de carácter cultural y educativo en favor de su provincia Santiago. Como Fiscal del Distrito Nacional y Procurador General de la República persiguió y logró condenas significativas en crímenes que conmovieron a la sociedad dominicana en las últimas décadas del siglo XX e impulsó un programa de institucionalización de los sistemas de persecución penal y penitenciario.
Es miembro del Comité Central del Partido de la Liberación Dominicana (PLD).
Francisco Domínguez Brito (born Francisco Javier Tadeo Domínguez Brito October 28, 1965 in Santiago de los Caballeros, is the Attorney General of the Dominican Republic (2006–2010). Politician and lawyer.
Political party affiliation
Francisco Dominguez Brito joined the LDP in 1984. Thus, began work party in 1984, running at that time a "PLD Working Committee, in what was the core of work 'Captain Maximo Cabral." Once a full member of the PLD in 1988, took different roles in the grassroots committees to which it belonged until 1992 was elected member of the First Division Media, after the Political Committee approved the elevation of core work "Maximum Interim Committee Cabral."
After the 1994 election went to Paris, a post-graduate studies at Pantheon-Assas University.
He organized a study circle and becomes the founder of the local branch of the PLD in France . In January 1995 he directed the Election Commission in Madrid, for the election of party leadership in Europe. On his return to the country in 1995 was elected a Fellow of the Mean and then Secretary General of the "Committee through Maximo Cabral." It was unanimously re-elected in 1997 as Secretary General. This period was also notable for being the founder of "Rosa Sosa Intermediate Committee." In 1998 he was appointed deputy secretary of the organization and was elected member of the Central Committee, a position he held until the present.
Presidential bid (2012)
When asked about the prospects for an eventual search for the presidential nomination, Francisco Dominguez Brito said repeatedly that probably would take on "the battle" and announce it at the time who understood prudent. On February 3, 2010, although several sources said that the polls favored him to take on new Senate after the nomination of his party by Senatorship Santiago, Dominguez Brito said that gave this nomination to then-Speaker of the House Bachelor of Deputies Julio Cesar Valentin Jiminián.
This would not be available for re-election as senator since embarked on a project aimed at presidential elections of 2012:
"In this new phase will concentrate our efforts to develop new political projects within the party, and particularly, I will devote all my energies to get the presidential nomination for the elections of 2012."
